PER ONLINE COMPLAINT: HOUSE OWNER KEEPS ADDING ROOMS ONTO THEIR HOME, THEN RENTING THEM OUT. HAVING WORKED IN THE CONSTRUCTION TRADES I KNOW THAT THESE NEED TO BE PERMITTED, AS POTENTIAL FIRE HAZARDS, AND THAT OVER CERTAIN OCCUPAINTS ALSO NEED EGRESS, AND FIRE SUPPRESSION AS PER NEW STATE REQUIREMENTS.
SDCI Notes: 08/03/15 DW REQUEST RESEARCH WITH PLANS TO DETERMINE IF THIS COMPLAINT IS CORRECT. INSPECTION WAS CONDUCTED FROM THE EXTERIOR. THE CORNER HOUSE IS LARGE AND UNABLE TO GAIN ACCESS BY THE TENANTS THAT WERE PRESENT.08/24/15 DW RESEARCH INDICATED THAT WORK WAS COMPLETED WITHOUT AN APPROVED PERMIT. IN ADDITION, OUTDOOR STORAGE WAS FOUNDED INSIDE THE WOODEN FENCE.THIS IS A CONSTRUCTION ISSUE. I WILL FORWARD TO BUILDING PER RESIDENTIAL NOTICE SIGNED BY JEFF KRIEG ON 11/06/1408/26/15 DW REQUEST AN INSPECTION WITH PROPERTY OWNER SCHEDULED FOR 9/3/15 @ 11:30AM09/03/15 DW REQUESTED AN INSPECTION FOR TODAY AND NO ONE ANSWERED THE DOOR. I LEFT MY CARD IN THE FRONT DOOR. THIS SERVICE REQUEST HAS BEEN CLOSED DUE TO UNABLE TO GAIN ACCESS TO DETERMINE IF VIOLATIONS EXIST. MY SUPERVISOR, REIC JENKIN WAS MADE AWARE OF THIS ATTEMPT TO CONDUCT AN INSPECTION.
