PER ONLINE COMPLAINT: OUR HEAT HAS NOT COME ON SINCE HALLOWE'EN.***(HZT NOTES: THREE ATTEMMPTS WERE MADE TO REACH COMPLAINANT IN ORDER TO REQUEST ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - 2 CALLS,1 EMAIL.)
SDCI Notes: EMERGENCY INSPECTION CONDUCTED.ON 11/17/2016, AT APPROXIMATELY 0950 HOURS, AN EMERGENCY INSPECTION WAS EXECUTED ON THE FRYE APARTMENTS.UPON ARRIVAL AT THE APARTMENT COMPLEX WE WERE ELECTRONICALLY "BUZZED" IN. THE LOBBY WAS WARM, OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE WAS APPROXIMATELY 48 DEGREES. THE LOBBY WAS COMFORTABLE. MCEACHIN, SUPERVISOR JENKINS AND I MET WITH THE MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR, DAN SPENCER. HE WAS COOPERATIVE. WE WENT UP TO THE TOP FLOOR AND MET THE COMPLAINANT, DUSTIN COLLINGS. WE WERE LET INSIDE AND THE SMALL APARTMENT WAS VERY WARM. WHILE I DID NOT USE THE THERMOMETER, IT APPEARED TO BE 70 TO 75 DEGREES. THE RADIATOR WAS VERY HOT, AND ADDITIONALLY, COLLINGS, HAD A SUPPLEMENTAL ELECTRICAL HEATER ON ALSO. BETWEEN THE TWO HEATING UNITS, IT GOT VERY WARM. NO VIOLATION AT TIME OF INSPECTION. ***SECOND EMERGENCY INSPECTION***INFORMATION AS FOLLOWS: CALL DATE RECEIVED 12/10/2016/1039 HOURS. ONLINE COMPLAINT: "OUR HEAT HAS NOT WORKED SINCE NOV 1ST. MY FIRST COMPLAINT TO YOUR DEPARTMENT WAS OVER ONE MONTH AGO, AND NOTHING HAS CHANGED." SEE ABOVE INFORMATION REGARDING EMERGENCY INSPECTION EXECUTED ON 11/17/2016, 0950 HOURS. COMPLAINANT IS MISTAKEN. AN EMERGENCY INSPECTION WAS CONDUCTED ON 11/17/2016, THE RESULTS COULD NOT SUBSTANTIATE THE COMPLAINT. UPON RECEIVING THE COMPLAINT ON 12/13/2016, 1115 HOURS, I RESPONDED TO THE PROPERTY. THE FOLLOWING TEMPERATURES WERE TAKEN, AS LISTED: EXTERIOR, OUTSIDE THE FRONT LOBBY DOORS, 40 DEGREES AT 1140 HOURS/ INSIDE THE LOBBY OF THE FRYE HOTEL 68 DEGREES,1143 HOURS/ IN THE ELEVATOR 75 DEGREES, 1145 HOURS/ IN THE HALLWAY 76.2 DEGREES 1146 HOURS/IN THE APARTMENT #1132 78.8 DEGREES AT 1158 HOURS WITH COMPLAINANT PRESENT. ADDITIONALLY, I REQUESTED TO SEE IF VACANT APARTMENT (WITH THEIR CONSENT). THE MAINTAINANCE SUPERVISOR, DAN SPENCER, VOLUNTARILY COMPLIED AND WE WENT TO UNIT 313. THE TEMPERATURE OF THE ROOM WAS 69.9 DEGREES. THE APARTMENT WAS VACANT/BARE WITH THE EXCEPTION OF A REFRIGERATOR. I AM UNABLE TO SUBSTANTIATE THE COMPLAINT OF NO HEAT. NO CALL. NO CASE.
